NYC FOOD PROTECTION CERTIFICATE PREP

Walk into the DOH exam already prepared.

15 short modules and a 90-minute timed practice exam that mirrors the real NYC Health Academy test — minute for minute, 50 questions, 70% to pass. Spanish lessons run with English subtitles always on, so the vocabulary on test day is vocabulary you've already seen. Built in Queens by the family that runs Mirna's Pupusería.

What you actually get

A 90-minute practice exam, not a quiz

50 questions, 70% to pass, 90-minute timer — the exact format the DOH proctor uses at the Health Academy. Cover the Big Six pathogens, time-and-temperature, allergens, and HACCP until the real test feels like a fifth attempt.

Spanish lesson, English subtitle, side by side

Every Spanish module shows the English line underneath — always on, never a toggle. Workers learn the concept in their language and the test vocabulary in the language the proctor will use. Salvadoran voice, written by people who speak it at home.

Owner dashboard with an audit trail

Assign seats, see who's stuck, export a CSV for inspection day. Completion timestamps, quiz scores, and practice-exam attempts are logged for every employee — if the DOH walks in, you have receipts.

How it works

  1. 1

    Sign up in 30 seconds

Email and a password. No credit card to start. Owners can invite a team in one CSV upload.

  2. 2

    Work through 15 short modules

8–12 minutes each, finishable in two or three sittings. Spanish narration with English subtitles locked on, plus a quick check at the end of every module.

  3. 3

    Sit the 90-minute timed exam

50 questions, 70% to pass — same length, same timer, same passing score as the live DOH test. Retake until the score is steady.

  4. 4

Take the real exam at the DOH

The legal credential only comes from the NYC Health Academy ($24, in person, in English). We're prep, not the certificate. You walk in ready.
